HumPAL is working toward accomplishing
the following main goals:
Create and promote an active living education program
that raises awareness and interest of community members and organizations
in Humboldt County.
Dr.
Jackson and HumPAL partners walked around Old Town, a section of Eureka
that encourages physical activity
Promote a shift in public perspective that leads to increased physical
activity among community members.
Contribute to neighborhood, regional, transportation
design and redevelopment efforts to help ensure inclusion of active
living principles into sustainable community design.
