Welcome

Natural Resources Services, a Division of Redwood Community Action Agency, is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainable development, protection, and restoration of natural resources in northern California. For over twenty years, NRS has helped private landowners, government agencies, timber and fisheries industries, tribes, and community-based groups to improve the quality and productivity of regional natural resources. Because natural and human communities of the north coast are inextricably linked, and the sustainability of both is inter-dependent, NRS strives to protect and restore community and watershed health.

Since 1982, we have designed and implemented several hundred fisheries, riparian, and wetland restoration projects in the north coast region, in addition to providing a variety of resource analysis and management services to private landowners, businesses, and public agencies. Our restoration projects include those designed to mitigate for impacts of development as well as those designed for the direct purpose of improving conditions for fish, wildlife, and entire ecosystems. We invite you to browse through our website to learn more about who we are and what we do.
